Sonam Tsering was born and grew up in Lhasa. For last five years experiences of been a tour guide, he came to realized that education counts, especially being a Tibetan it is very important to bridge up the gap between ancient wisdom with modern knowledge. He has been learning western culture and language for more than 7 years in Lhasa. In 2007, he was graduated from the language school in academic of social science in Lhasa. Sonam tsering is well educated in both wester and Tibetan culture and language, and he has been constantly voluntarily join in a group of kind foreign scholars and educated Tibetan who teach the local children study basic English language skill in Lhasa. Sonam tsering strongly believe that to be a good English tour guide is not an easy task, and as a local tour guide who has to work very hard and strive for excellent. However, he enjoy what he he is doing all these years. This gives him great satisfaction and knowledge. He would like to take this opportunity to thank all his guests who he served in past five years and from them he learned lot. Here, he sincerely welcome people from all over the world to enjoy and appreciate rich culture and tradition of Tibet with me and his friendly team.
