For many people, Tibet is a mysterious and a beautiful historic place as most of travel books have been described; for me, Tibet is my home where I spend most of my childhood with my friends and family, and the place where I never feel boring to discovering its diversified culture and unique history. Few years ago, like many young Tibetans, I knew little about Tibetan culture and Buddhism. I spend three years to study civil engineering since my parents wanted me to be a civil engineer, just like my father. As a civil engineering assistant, I got lots of opportunities to discovering old local buildings and the history behind those buildings during two years experience of working for the local engineering company. I deeply attracted by those places with old Buddhist temples and old Tibetan architect. I am eager to know histories and stories behind all those beautiful old architects in Tibet. Hence, I quit from my job and made effort in getting guide license. After a year, I passed the National English Guide License Exam and got guide license. This is a turning point for me since I am passionate about doing the job of being a tour guide and introducing my beautiful homeland to people from all round the world. 

I obtained much more time to go to travel and got more opportunities to learn more about the place which I called home since I became a local guide in Tibet. Being a guide is not only making my knowledge wider but also getting to know myself in a new way, testing myself in new situations. The job of being a tour guide brought me to almost everywhere of Tibet, and I have served many tourists across different places around the world. My working principle is to be honest and responsible to every customer. After three years experience of being a local tour guide, I got an opportunity of working for a hotel in the capital city of Australia. One year experience of working in Canberra make me learned more about how to communicate with people who from different countries and have different background. And I appreciated more about unique culture of Tibet by finding different aspects of Tibet after coming back to here. For me, establish a local travel agency can be a way to maintain cultural identity and heritage by introducing Tibet to more people who love to explore the real beauty of this land.
